Grow Together
Family that cooks together, grow together.
Children are our biggest assets, and we need to provide them with a strong foundation. That foundation starts in the kitchen. Yes, the kitchen. Teaching children about food and where it comes from is going to be the biggest difference between exploratory eaters and the fussy kids who will be the poster child of fast food restaurants across the country. It isn’t too late. Feed curious minds by inviting them into your kitchen. Include children in planning the night’s menu and have them even write or draw out the grocery list. Use this time to explain to your kids about where their food comes from. Make your own garden and have your children observe the process involved before dinner is served. Kids will make great sous chefs and the best part, they work for free! They will want to help you make the family dinners because it gives them a sense of responsibility and accomplishments. Why must mom or dad have all the fun? Get your kids in the kitchen and your picky eaters will be a thing of the past. Families that cook together, grow together.
